KL City Centre - One KL
Its interior conveys an aura of stylish simplicity with the economical use of living space through the brilliant use of split levels. The private swimming pools that go with each apartment can be somewhat severe at first glance, but we have to say are still very impressive on overall impression.
According to the SCDA website completion is due next year but latest information is that this will not actually be achieved until early 2009.
KL City Centre - The Troika

The Shear walls create a building utterly unique to this site, as they shield surrounding developments and orientate occupants so that the best view can be enjoyed. For the Troika, early plans incorporated three tower of varying height emerging from ‘The Necklace’ - a circular podium of complementary office and retail space. The Necklace frames a landscaped courtyard of 30,000 sq.ft. to provide a calm retreat exclusively for residents.
The architects’ priorities were to create beautiful and functional homes, with each one able t take in the beauty of the location, such as the KLCC Park, The Petronas Twin Towers and the KL city skyline. To guarantee the best views possible for each apartment, Foster and Partners introduced the concept of a twisting building-essentially allowing individual floor plans to rotate as the building rise to enjoy KL’s most stunning views. With this objective, Foster and Partners pinned the three towers around dramatic shear walls, giving the development a strong linear character, while also framing views and providing critical shade to individual apartments.
The 2.13-acre project will be a mixed development comprising residential and commercial including 3 residential towers, small office home office (SOHO), boutique offices, retail and restaurants. In total, there will be 172 residential units, with standard units ranging from 2,142 – 3,336 sq ft and penthouses from 5,441 sq ft. A a notable feature of The Troika will be the 28th floor, referred to as the sky-bridge level, which will have an infinity pool and common recreation lounge that will epitomise the "lifestyle in the sky” that The Troika promises to offer. The development will also feature 80,000sq ft of commercial space that will be divided into 57 units, each between 959sq ft and 1,826sq ft in size. They will be used to accommodate Single Operator Home Office (SOH0) units, boutique offices, retail outlets and restaurants.
The whole development is expected to be completed in 2009.

The website gives the impression that all the units are standard but there seems to be substantial variation in price from 3.8m ringgits to 10m (New Straits Times 12th April 2007). Does this mean that those purchasing on levels 16, 40 and 41 buy an entire floor?

Idaman Residence is another large-ish but the size of individual units is considerably less than any of the other developments. This may work to its advantage in that it is very central but appealing to a different market from developments with larger units, who it is reasonable to expect, will be fierce competition with one another. The development is targeted at professionals between the ages of 24 and 45. along with the other nine developments it shares the easy access to work and facilities in KLCC.
Idaman has been planned to be environmentally friendly with natural ventilation in common parts and even natural ventilation features in the units themselves (though one supposes air conditioning is available also.)

Bandar Utama
In 1991, prior to the development of this well planned residential area, Bandar Utama, along with its neighbouring areas was a wide expanse of palm oil estates. 13 years later, an estimated 59 000 people now reside in this vibrant township. Bandar Utama comprises of 12 sections spanning from BU1 to BU12. It is serviced by 2 expressways, the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) and the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP). Access to these 2 expressways provides easy access to the surrounding areas. Travel time to its neighbouring areas on a clear day would only be a mere 5 minutes.
Bandar Utama is surrounded by many other highly populated residential areas such as Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, Damansara Utama, Damansara Jaya and SS2 but what sets it apart from all the rest is the presence of the 1 Utama Shopping Centre. Possibly one of the most popular shopping malls in Klang Valley, it is visited by people from as far as Puchong, Shah Alam and many other K.L districts.
